My music taste is the **** isn't it, I'm glad you agree.

I got the deluxe vinyl and played it twice so far. Sadly with double vinyl releases sometimes the experience feels too broken up, with 4 sides to flip through. And the deluxe has 6 extra songs on 2 additional sides. So what I'm saying is I'm looking forward to listening to the album straight through digitally, even though the vinyl sound quality is really great. But all in all I prefer Wakin' on a Pretty Daze for sure. "Pretty Pimpin" is a great track but the only one that has the same feel as the previous album. The rest is still strong material, just more somber.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Wakin' On A Pretty Daze is a lot better in my opinion, though I've only listened to the new one a few times.

I'm glad it doesn't have the same feel - Wakin on a Pretty Daze was pretty long. Really damn good (and still better than this one), but long. And it's the kind of long where I'm glad there's not another album like it that I have to digest, because that's exhausting. I listened to Wakin on a Pretty Daze over and over just to let everything sink in. I'm not in the mood for more of that...I'll just go back to Wakin on a Pretty Daze if I want that sound. B'lieve I'm Goin Down is immediate like Smoke Ring for My Halo, but has a much more relaxed vibe like Wakin on a Pretty Daze...so it's a winner for me.

My only complaint about Wakin on a Pretty Daze was its length, I agree. The more energetic and engaging tracks were perfectly timed, but some of the more mellow tracks went on longer than necessary. The album could have been 15 minutes shorter.

It's so novel. On a serious note I'm over-analyzing the fuck out of this one
