And yet you were raving about that remarkably mediocre Carly Rae Jepsen album?

Dead to me

YD's other two fave albums of the year are snoozers to be fair.

I'm siding with Ninetales.

EMOTION and 1989 were both piggybacking pretty damn hard on the synth pop revival sounds that Chvrches made extremely popular in 2013, so yes they sound extremely similar. Except Chvrches actually write interesting songs and Lauren Mayberry's voice violently demolishes Carly's and Taylor's by a ****ing mile

Shouldn't you be listening to Lana's latest craptastic pile of crap?

Hm ok Ill hopefully give it a listen tomorrow then. Pretty interested now.

Tho ya neither of your other top 2 would be in my top anything (likely). I thought Kendrick's was good and while I havent heard Sufjan's I probably wont. Never been a fan of his and heard 2 songs of this new one and it was not for me.

Not a fan of most of Sufjan's albums but it's a man with an acoustic guitar and some beautiful ambient interludes singing about his dead mom. Pretty powerful stuff, I really couldn't take my ears away for a couple months there back during the summer. Spammed that **** almost daily.

I can say with almost 100% certainty you will enjoy Chvrches quite a bit.

Well Im not the biggest fan of folk (or singer/songwriter or w/e) music unless its demented or decaying. I have no doubt his lyrics are depressing but when it's not my style it would likely have no effect on me anyway.

I may join you for this. I love The Mercury Lounge. Oh, and it's small as sh*t.

EDIT: Nope. Working that night and can't take off. Balls.
