It's going to be hard to pick my album of the year. How do I choose between this and To Pimp a Butterfly? It's impossible. Might just have to copout and name them both #1 |
Sledding With Tigers - Come On And Slam
https://f1.bcbits.com/img/a1543031144_16.jpg This album just made me smile, yes it is a concept album about Space Jam. It's just lighthearted and silly and makes me feel nostalgic. Oh and it's a nice mix of folk, punk, and bluegrass. |
Ignore.

The Cairo Gang - Tiny Rebels (2013) I don't remember how I discovered this band, maybe it's because they just released a new album and it popped up on a new release list somewhere. However that one's not on Spotify so I checked this one out last week. It's easy to digest and I've played it a handful of times so far. Heavily influenced by The Byrds' early material, and I was also reminded of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. I downloaded their new release Goes Missing last night so I'll check that out later, maybe right after this finishes. |

Mercury Rev - Deserter's Songs Finally decided to check Mercury Rev out. Holy ****. This is one of the best albums I've heard in a long time. |

Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss The new record kicks some serious ass. That is all. |
It's her best for sure IMO.

It's in the race for AOTY for me.
