Holly Golightly - Slowtown Now! (2015)

^^^ I recently applied to be a writer for GIGsoup and they accepted me earlier today. Basically I can submit reviews to them and they will publish it if they are any good. They had a list of albums to choose from for their bloggers to review and I chose this. I then received a private link for the album on soundcloud.

Can you taste it? Taste the jealousy? **looking at you Ori**

Chicago Underground Duo - Age of Energy

Imagine Miles Davis trying out dubstep fusion and you have this album.

You understand we're all just gonna criticize your reviews, whether they're actually good or not.

V/A A Surfin' Journey To Atlantis

Label sampler from the Greek surf instrumental label. I already have several of the albums they sample and hoping to pick up a few I haven't heard.

Girlpool Before The World Was Big

Female indie duo, great vocals & songwriting, I'd like to see them on their tour with Waxahatchee.

Sir Douglas Quintet The Mono Singles '68-72

Doug Sahm & band at their Tex-Mex best.

Death Blues - Ensemble (2014)

This album just hits the spot every time I listen to it. It has post rock, blues, psychedelic, and classical elements, but it's just so on it's own that it's unfair to place it under anything other than experimental. Really amazing album that kind of caught me by surprise, highly recommended.

David Sylvian - There's a Light That Enters Houses With No Other Houses In Sight (2014)

I take a 3-10 mile walk every day, and yesterday I took mine at around 9:30. I threw this album on and it was a phenomenally unnerving experience as I walked down streets with little or no streetlights in the dark, hammered, while listening to this. Great, eerie piano, simmering electronics, and disturbing poems depicting things from alcoholicism to writing poetry in one's flesh with a knife read in a sleepy, monotone voice. Another 5 star record with my seal of approval.

Sounds really interesting. Is it on Spotify, or have you got a link to stream it?

I know there's a bit of a backlash but this is undeniably a brilliantly crafted and infectious psych/dance pop record that I'm replaying again and again.

What backlash? This is clearly their best album by a mile. I wasn't a huge fan of the first two
