Yeah, Tarot Sport was great too but Slow Focus felt like a step up. Wonder what they're up to these days.

Looking at their facebook page right now and it looks like they're focusing more on their solo stuff right now (Andrew Hung and Blanck Mass, if you want to check those out).

Liam Howard - Frequently Recently

Just found this album while hunting out something new.. Wow! what an album. I had to play it the second time because each track had it's own style, made me crave another listen. I must say...

Sounds nasty. I like it.

I'd describe it as a refined take on Milanese's style.

sidewinder 04-07-2015 01:26 PM

To my ears, it's nowhere near the sound I remember hearing from Milanese, which was Dubstep/Grime. But it's been ages since I've listened to Milanese so maybe I'm not remembering correctly.

Tin Drum - Japan

Anyone else into Japan? They're brill, progressing from synthy pop to more experimental stuff in a short space of time. Great bass work from Mick Karn with that really distinct fretless sound. This is the highlight of their discography for me, and the fact that a minimalist, dark, and pretty experimental track like Ghosts reached #5 in the UK is a testament to their ability.

Maybe I am misremembering too, but I meant the style is similar not necessarily the sound. But I am probably wrong.
