Grandaddy - Sumday

I loved Under the Western Freeway and The Sophtware Slump, so I decided to dig further into my secret love for Grandaddy. I had a surreal dream not long ago that had a Grandaddy track playing in the background. This album reminded me of that dream as it gave me that same beautiful feeling. Grandaddy is growing on me at a dangerous rate and I might just have to put away my search for new music to put them on repeat. That closer gave my sadness a major boner.

NOW THAT THE K's IN PLACE, WHERE THE C USED TO BE.

Finch. These guys I feel have always had something a bit special. They've got their hardcore sort of influence but never truly commit to that, and then they've got all these other influences that I really feel make them stand apart in some way to their peers. Their reemergence with Back To Oblivion only confirmed this for me, because they album is ambitious without falling short, and it is probably their most diverse record so far. Us Vs Them is awesome, but Play Dead, Inferium, and Tarot are the stellar tracks from this album. Check it out if you like these guys, won't disappoint.

I'm digging it, clearly. Listened to it maybe seven times start to finish so far, still not tired of it. Gets better each listen with the new characteristics I hear.

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

Been listening to these a lot the last couple of days, and I'm really digging them (especially Loveless, hot damn). Anyone got any similar albums I might like?

Swirlies - They Spent Their Wild Youthful Days in the Glittering World of the Salons

You could try some other canonical shoegaze like Ride and Slowdive. Nowhere is really an incredible album. Also check out Swervedriver, and I'll second the Swirlies rec.

Death Blues - Ensemble

Guys, this f*cker is pretty amazing. I don't know if you guys have talked about it or not but it came out of left field for me and I'm really digging it. It's like an orchestral americana post rock feel. That's a mouthful. Here are some tracks!
