King Dude—Fear
I saw this guy open for Earth this past weekend and was pretty impressed by his music and stage presence so I decided to check out this album. It sounds a bit like Nick Cave meets Chris Isaak with a pinch of David Bowie and a large helping of Satan. I love it. It's one of those rare albums where I want to listen to it again immediately after it ends.

It was hard to pick a single song to exemplify this album but this is a pretty good one imo:

I love it like how people love their children. Definitely pretty damn good.

Going to see them at the end of this month. Been re-visiting this album for the past week or so. Great stuff!

Opeth - Ghost Reveries

This album so badass and I never realized it until recently. Been listening to it non stop for the past couple weeks and it never gets old.

Especially this track:

Spoiler for Large album art:

o'death - Out of Hands We Go (2014)

I'm very happy with this album, it seems to marry the best elements of Outside (2011) and Broken Hymns, Limbs and Skin (2008). It follows the more folk inspired elements from Outside, but loses a bit of the twee indie folk crap for the darker more dissonant elements of their first two albums. "Isavelle" is easily the best track on the album and might even be their best song so far.

Ohh goody, forgot about this.

Godflesh - Streetcleaner (1989)

I hadn't listened to this for a long time but it is as good as I remember. Fantastic.

Bob Marley & The Wailers - Natty Dread (1974)

A few songs in and I remember why I consider this his best album that I have heard. Just so damn chilled and interesting lyrics.

The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die - Between Bodies

This is an experimental collaboration with poet Chris Zizzamia that I actually got to see live right when they were starting to put this together. I thought it was dynamic and powerful live, and I think it translated well to the LP. The writing is stellar and the background instrumentals are beautiful and simple.
