Angel Olsen - Burn Your Fire For No Witness
In love with this album and her entire discography in general. I like the kind of garage rock feel on some of the tracks, especially forgiven/forgotten. All the tracks are real nice though. White Fire is a close 2nd favorite... reminds me of Leonard Cohen. |

Toe Fat - Toe Fat (1970) Toe Fat - Toe Fat Two (1971) A two-fer from Toe Fat, a heavy blues/rock band from the early 70's. The music sounds dated but it still sounds a cut above most of the typical heavy blues/rock bands of that era. The first album includes a song written by Elton John & Bernie Taupin, and the second album features an appearance by Peter Green. |

John Coltrane - Interstellar Space Some of Coltrane's final recordings are found within this flock of (inter)stellar duos with drummer Rashied Ali. Just fantastic all around really. Makes me rank Coltrane's death as one of the more tragic ones since he could have changed free jazz as we know it today (and even made it more popular given his status) were he still alive and carrying on the free jazz bent.

Sohn - Tremors
I didn't appreciate this album the first time I heard it but good grief I just re-discovered it and loving the hell out of it at the moment. It is heavily steeped in that alternative R&B sound.

Obsessed with this album right now. A Sunny Day in Glasgow sent me searching for more dream pop and I stumbled upon this masterpiece. Just so many incredible tracks. Pretty much a 10/10 from me, this is one of my favorites ever.
