Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence (2014) Easily her best album to date. I just wish she put a little more thought into her lyrics/lyrical themes. I'm not even a lyrics guy generally, but damn, repeat the same crap much?

Nord by Year of No Light listening to the deluxe version which has some interesting covers of The Cure(The Figurehead) and Joy Division(Disorder) on it. Quite a good album too, if youre into Isis, Rosetta and that atmospheric sludge family. |

V/A Calypso: Musical Poetry in the Caribbean 1955-69 The music here is a bit more raw than in other calypso comps I've heard. It's easy to pick out the influences on later reggae & ska artists. I hope Soul Jazz or some other label starts reissuing albums by the artists on this comp. Soul Jazz Records – Calypso – Musical Poetry In The Caribbean 1955-69 |

Been listening to a lot of old soul, rnb, motown ****. Otis more than anything else, but a lot of other stuff too. Makes me want to fall in love again. Rosetta, Wake/Lift Atmospheric metal with a lot of screaming involved. Maybe not the best blackgaze****metal but it rustles my jimmies, and that's all I'm really asking for.
