Bad Brains: Into The Future I got this about a week ago and now I've spun it a few times and I'm really diggin it. It's def got that same feel from their last album Build A Nation, not quite old school Bad Brains but still tenacious and really head bangin. And as always they throw in some really cool dub jams. I always tell people Bad Brains reggae is like triple filtered deliciousness . It's the IPA of reggae. |

^ Good question, I just posted the first one I found when I did an image search. I think the one you posted looks quite a bit better!

Alot of atmosphere and mood in the songs, loving the guitar tone and riffs. The scratching parts are cool too. |

Damaged Bug Hubba Bubba Solo release from John Dwyer of Thee Oh Sees. Loads of synths and other dark & weird electronic sounds. It sounds sloppy & disjointed, even more odd when the garage rock guitars cut in but to me that's the whole point of this project. The album has received some mixed reviews but I believe those critics are trying to think too much and not sitting back and enjoying the ride. It's a loopy synth-rock adventure without much form, swerves into both garage & prog rock territory but all in all it has me coming back for more. |
