Katy B - Little Red (2014) Damn good pop album so far. Not dosed in sugary production and she has a nice vibe about her. |
Slint - Spiderland blew my mind when I first heard it. Listened for the first time in ages the other day and it's still awesome

Jake Bugg - Shangri La This little boys' album literally ended up being my favorite of 2013 (Which says a lot, as my favorite band released a damn good album for the first time in years). I know a lot of people probably think he's just an A*hole kid from Britain but no shit, he's got mad writing skills and his voice is so... buttery, man. |

Keiji Haino - Koko This is just Haino on guitar (plus pedalry) and vocals. It's a lot more mellow than your usual in-your-face Keiji Haino, it's more along the lines of a psychedelic ambient album. It contains one 30 minute track that has several beautiful moments. A good part of the album is simply stunning and this definitely ranks among his better works. Highly recommended. |

Alt-J An Awesome Wave It truly is - awesome! To be honest, I have listened to specific songs very often and loved those tracks. I'm very glad that I finally managed to make time for listening to the complete album. Seriously, I highly recommend listening to the album, it will overwhelm you with wonder. My favorite song of this album is Taro. Give it a listen! |
