The cover alone is intriguing. Must check this out.

It's basically a Bon Iver album, I have no idea what type of game he's trying to play by calling this a different band somehow lol, but I still like Bon Iver's style a lot and this is a very beautiful post-folk album.

PAWS - Cokefloat!
Sounds just like an early nineties guitar pop album, so it's the furthest thing from fresh. Nevertheless, this album has some amazing pop hooks and singalong moments. The guy's lyrics about his mother's death on 'Catherine 1956' and 'Bloodline' are really touching too. Listened because they announced a show in my city, and shows in my city are a rare occasion.

Blood Orange - Cupid Deluxe
One of my favourites from last year, chilled out poppy R&B with some solid guest spots throughout.

Lemuria - Get Better
Nice happy pop-punk perfect for some bright escapism on the rainiest of days.

BURZUM - FILOSOFEM (1996)

This album is nothing new to me and I always liked it, but its only these past few days that I feel I've really appreciated its greatness and have become completely lost in a loop with it.

Varg may be an extreme right, Nationalist, racist, murdering **** but I just can't not adore this record.

^ top 10 b metal albums imo

That 20 min ambient piece in the middle is one of the most unsettling moments in music

It is fantastic but I feel the ambience over the top of the black metal is even more unsettling. The production is so ****ty and rough and the dark ambience over the top is intensely creepy. It is just a really perfect record in my opinion.

Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Trout Mask Replica

Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Ice Cream For Crow

Pretty much always digging these albums but they've been on heavy rotation lately. TMR is hands down my favourite record.

not sure what it is but this is one of my favorite albums of all-time at this point and easily my favorite pure pop album i've ever heard. the electronic production is stunning and the lyricism is superb, not to mention lauren mayberry's utterly angelic voice. i can't get enough of this band.
