"Complex Full of Phantoms" by Tera Melos / By the End of Tonight

Well I've always loved this split, but now more so than usual. Especially the BTEOT side of it.

Is it a guilty pleasure? There's still room for debate.

The recent thread on The Chameleons convinced me to dig this one out. I haven't played it in a while, but now it's stuck on rotation. I can't believe I never realized what a great song Soul In Isolation was (though Paradiso and the full arrangement of Tears are still my favorites).

I've been meaning to dig this out as well. When I got it all I liked on it was "Swamp Thing", but there were alot of albums I got that year, so many that some I dismissed, like this one, and came to find out later that they were much better than I originally thought.

Oh wow. Just loving this. A bit of Radiohead, a dash of Pink Floyd, a smattering of Porcupine Tree. It's proggy without being lost in a technical, tricksy wonderland. It's warm and layered and epic and soothing. A great find. Don't expect originality just damn fine music. There's a little sprinkle of Trip Hop to finish it all off.

. There are a couple of tracks mid way that disrupt the flow but overall-fantastic album. Great minds think alike.

robert wyatt's shleep.

it's a lot more of a pop album than wyatt's earlier stuff, but i think every artist tends to follow that trend. it was tough to listen to at first because it wasn't what i expected at all, but once i embraced it for what it was, it grew on me.

I first heard If You're Feeling Sinister (the song and the album) in a record shop in Baltimore when I was randomly browsing. Immediately bought it. Fantastic stuff
