I've been rediscovering old favourites this week:
![]() The Deftones have always stood above the crowd they were lumped in with and White Pony is a good example of their eclectic and hard-hitting but atmospheric sound. Change is obviously my fav but Passenger feat. MJK is up there too. Solid album. ![]() I adore Force Majeure even if it is cheesy in places and it reminds me I really need to get more TD. ![]() I don't think I really need to explain this one - it's a bit dated sounding but it still holds its own as a classic.

I love that Deftones record too. I used to absolutely despise that band and it was that record that changed my opinion. I have yet to check out their new one but i might do that soon as i will probably end up seeing them in a little under two weeks now.

^ "Passenger" is a song I should love but it's never done much for me.

The Divine Comedy - BANG Goes the Knighthood
![]() I downloaded this based purely on the album artwork, with no prior knowledge of the artist or album. It turned out to be a delight. Each song is a narrative, the stuff you'd find on the soundtrack to a cheesy movie about a fifties metropolitan city. It's very enjoyable Bad Religion - The Empire Strikes First ![]() One of the few openly irreligious bands I know of (Muse being another), I decided to give their stuff a spin after my friend who goes to UCLA told me the frontman is actually a professor at his school. I'd always written off BR as crappy punk, but now I realize it's quality stuff and the guy's a genius |

The production on this is great. Low-fi, spacious and generous with the reverb.
