![]() ![]() Why?-Alopecia Finally checked these guys out after all of the chatter about them on this board. Should have done it a lot sooner, this album is burrowing its way into my skull bit by bit. I downloaded Eskimo Snow as well but I haven't even gotten around to it, I keep going back to Alopecia.

Yep got those 2, also 'Margerine Eclipse'. 'Dots And Loops' only arrived in the post a few days ago so early days with that but sounds good. You can hear John McEntire's influence on it, shades of later period electronic Tortoise.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Kaleidoscope
![]() I didn't care much for it the first time (last week) but I'm digging it now.

![]() ![]() I've been finding myself increasingly enamoured with David Sylvian's work of late, which is of course why I'm giving this a spin at the moment. It's basically an early-90s Japan reunion album under a different moniker. It's a mostly instrumental kinda cross between new wave, ambient and jazz (to varying degrees), and produces a very ghostly-sounding result. ![]() And this one's a kinda bridge between the more accessible, pop stylings of Talk Talk and their latter-day, Spirit Of Eden/Laughing Stock, avante-garde era. Top stuff in other words. |
