In all seriousness, I went with Nirvana. Their lyrics absolutely suck, Kurt couldn't play, and they were just hyped up to be this awesome band when in fact they just got extremely lucky.

Well then let me defend my "elitism" by listing some of their instrumentals.
(remember ethan, instrumental means no lyrics)

Broken Chords Can Sing a Little
Sit In the Middle of Three Galloping Dogs
Stumble Then Rise on Some Awkward Morning
13 Angels Standing Guard 'round the Side of Your Bed
Long March Rocket or Doomed Airliner
For Wanda
Sisters! Brothers! Small Boats of Fire Are Falling from the Sky!
This Gentle Hearts Like Shot Bird's Fallen
Tho You Are Gone I Still Often Walk w/ You
C'mon Come On (Loose an Endless Longing)

and those are just from Born Into Trouble As The Sparks Fly Upward and He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms
You want to know why they're just from those albums? Because Horses in the Sky and This Is Our Punk-Rock both feature vocals on every track. In addition to that you realize Long March Rocket or Doomed Airliner is only five seconds of silence right? Also I'm fairly sure you posted more than just some of those instrumentals, I think you posted them all. One of the most commented on things about A Silver Mt. Zion is the use of vocals in their music and all it takes is listening to one of their albums to realize this.

The topic of that thread was which bands you fell asleep to, and I still maintain that A Silver Mt. Zion is a band that I can fall asleep to. At that time I had only listened to those two albums. You just took it out of context and made it seem like I was just name dropping to seem cool.

You called A Silver Mt. Zion instrumental when they clearly weren't and now you're just creating up whatever opinion you can to save face. It's pretty fun you're now saying you'd only heard those two albums when earlier you we're ignorantly stating that those instrumentals listed were JUST from those two albums, like there were even more despite the fact there weren't.

I've never called A Silver Mt. Zion instrumental, I said that they have instrumental songs. Both "Sow Some Lonesome Corner So Many Flowers Bloom" and "Goodbye desolate railyard" are instrumentals on This Is Our Punk-Rock, Thee Rusted Satellites Gather + Sing, so the fact is there are more instrumentals.

Oh and just so you know instrumentals means no vocals, not no lyrics otherwise the audio clips they insert in all the stuff would mean the tracks weren't instrumental. So the fa-la-las in Sow Some Lonesome Corner etc means it wouldn't be instrumental. You keep switching up your argument it's kind of funny. Either way using all but two instrumentals and saying they're just some is pretty misleading.

these are some odd choices, I'm curious who nominated Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I can see why people think they're overrated, but that doesn't mean they suck.

It's more misleading that you, who is talking like he's an expert, tells me that there are no instrumentals on This Is Our Punk-Rock but when I give you 2, you claim that one has "fa-la-la's" and therefore has lyrics, meaning it's not an instrumental. You said that their lyrics are one of the most commented on aspects of their music, and I highly doubt that anyone is commenting on those fa-la-la's, or even considers them lyrics.

the bottom line is that the majority of the songs I was listening to when I posted that were from He Has Left Us...
which has more instrumentals than it does songs with lyrics. I never claimed to be an authority on the band, just that their instrumentals helped me fall asleep. How you got that I only mentioned them to make me seem cool or to fit in, I have no idea.

What I said:
"One of the most commented on things about A Silver Mt. Zion is the use of vocals [vocals, not lyrics] in their music"

"Oh and just so you know instrumentals means no vocals, not no lyrics"

Re-reading this I completely misunderstood half of what you said, sorry.
