Are you actually going to discuss either of these albums or not?

Well now you do, so if you've finished complaining perhaps this thread can get back on topic.

I wouldnt say it was a ridiculous remark what he is getting at is that your posts (and Ive read them yes) are just full of short words without any proper explanation or justification to back up your claims. Now dont get me wrong, I understand people have different tastes and simply just dont like a certain band due to personal taste. I am not a big fan of The White Stripes and they certainly aint one of my favourite bands but I know that they are certainly not 'boring' and 'rubbish'. There are certain artists whom I do not like just like you but that I can respect them for what they are.

I didn't realise people on here were so sensitive.
See this is exactly what I mean. You didnt state that in your opinion they are rubbish. You just came out with a ridiculous statement that the White Stripes are 'boring' and 'rubbish'.
To me you obviously dont know anything about music. If you did you would know that The White Stripes were one of the most exciting bands around when they first came out and one of the most innovative bands of recent times. Now I didnt even like them at the time when they had the Elephant album all my mates used to love them but I could appreciate that they were good musicians and its only later on that I have gotten into them..
If all you look for in a song is 'energy' or 'tunes' and if you dont like it is just 'boring'. Also when you use these phrases you basically sound like what I would call a 'hit hopper'.
Also I am not sensitive at all if I was I would be sending abusive messages telling you to '****off' and the likes.
So please when you want to say something you dont need to say 'rubbish' or '****e' as you can make your opinion obvious anyway if you actually explain and differentiate with the people on here.
It is not a battle.
No-one is against you just because you dont like bands we do.
That is a fact of life. If everybody was the same it would be boring man.

My final words of advice to you is to try and not be insulting when you put your opinion across and try to relate.

Firstly, I did not state at any point that I had any superiority over you. Just because I like a certain band and you dont? Dont be ridiculous man just like I said in my last post it isnt a battle and you dont have to fight people on here with whom you disagree with. You should learn to relate to people instead.
Now you really show your maturity (I dont know what age you are judging by the comment about 15 or 16) by posting worthless comments such as 'whiny little fanboy' - so basically because I have opinions and I like music? Isnt that why were all on here in the first place??? Also you impress no-one with your pathetic claims of 'pains me that a human as miserable and worthless as you takes up oxygen'.
Look man, if all your on here is to noise people up and look for a fight then you may as well go down the local pub and get your fix there.
Dont waste our time and I doubt youll last long on here if you continue with your attitude.
In addition the comment was made in good humour.

Wow, you've got a wit on you ay, Chris Rock best watch his back.
Also if you think Chris Rock has wit just because he says 'mother****er' live on tv and says '****' all the time you really need to do some serious growing up man... Also the guy you are picking a (losing) battle with is actually one of the moderators. As I learned myself not that long ago it aint a good road to go down mate..
As for the quote you 'quoted' it actually made me laugh.

we have a bright one here, huh?

I like the idea of comparing albums like this but I feel as if this one was rigged. I mean we have the stripes at the most commercial they've ever been, and Radiohead at their most independent.

I totally agree with you comparison here. Spot on man. Both albums are brilliant but In Rainbows beats it for me just for the innovation alone.

Icky Thump felt like they were building on their stuff from the previous couple album with more of a De Stijl feel to it, which is the right idea if you ask me, but nothing really ever caught me. No yummy hooks...

I don't mean to sound cliche about this, but In Rainbows was sort of an instant classic; right up there with Arcade Fire's Funeral. It was the best direction Radiohead could have gone coming out of Hail to the Thief (excellent too). Oh God, I can't help it! I have such a hard on for this album, somebody slap me!!

I'd have said it was the other way round if anything.

you thought the white stripes were at their most independent on Icky Thump? First time they used digitale recordings. had some huge songs that got picked up my ESPN, I'm not sure how this one, of all of their works, was independent.
