Yeah I just saw some of them if its not 'great' then its 'pants' or the guy sounds like a 'arsehole'.
I guess I was right in my assumptions. Also i think I put him in his place. (Wont waste more paragraphs).

It is actually an excellent album, very experimental contains elements of folk music and even bagpipes! + synthesiser solos which are cracking. Also I love the lyric in the title track:
"Well, Americans:
What, nothin' better to do?
Why don't you kick yourself out?
You're an immigrant too.
Who's usin' who?
What should we do?
Well you can't be a pimp
And a prostitute too"

As for who will be around in years to come yeah Radiohead have this futuristic sound to them but I still find Yorke's voice difficult to listen to at times. I used to write Radiohead off and say there only good album was 'The Bends'. I have 'Pablo Honey' also but cant really get into it. Years ago when i was like 13 I had gotten 'Kid A' and some other one but wasnt really open to weird ass music as I am now so didnt like it. Also I wouldnt class it as being that weird now since Ive heard much weirder stuff since.
I also recentley bought 'In Rainbows' which I think is excellent. I have this new appreciation of Radiohead, like I always knew they were great musicians but could never really appreciate their music outside of 'The Bends'.
Anyway as for White Stripes I agree they are overhyped etc etc but their music is pretty damn excellent. Also Ive heard the White Stripes are referred to as the modern version of the Gun Club. Just wondering have you heard of them. They were a massively underrated punk blues band from the 1980s & early 1990s. Im still to come across someone who has heard of them before.
Does Elephant really have that many covers? Which songs?

I've probably listened to Icky Thump more because Martyr for my Love and the title track really hooked me when I first got it. Whereas nothing about In Rainbows really stands out in the first few listens and I let in languish for a while, but it's growing on me and is definitely a more consistent album.

Not sure I can just mind being told it was mostly covers years ago when it first came out. Did they actually write all the songs themselves like?

What an incredibly ridiculous remark, so we're only allowed to make positive comments about bands now are we? Well then you best close about 90% of the threads on this forum then as they're full of moaning.

Therefore you have branded this band 'boring' & 'rubbish' without providing any explanation or even any concrete reasons. I conclude that it is most likely just down to personal musical taste (or lack of english skills).
It is now quite apparent to me that you are just one of these people who post conflicting comments in order to get attention (hence the reason why you provide no explanation (or possibly no brain) .
However, one thing I will give you credit for is your acknowledgement of how 'insightful' your post was. This also confirms even further to me that you are just an attention seeker. I hope I have satisfied you.

The reason I came on this forum was to talk to people who actually have more conrete things to say other than 'boring' and 'rubbish' when it comes to discussing artists/bands/music in general.

Therefore I suggest that you take heed of Right-track's advice and put an end to your mischievous ways.

Also might I add i found your post extremely 'boring' & 'rubbish' in particular. (hence the lengthy reply).
Yeah of course its my personal opinion for christs sake, how can it be anything but when commenting on a band? You want to know why i think they're boring and rubbish? For me there is nothing interesting there, no energy, no tunes, nothing that grabs me, just boring ****e i can't feel strongly about one way or another. I didn't realise people on here were so sensitive.

Haha, you couldn't put anyone in there place with that condescending, faux-superiority you've got going on. You're nothing but a whiny little fanboy and frankly it pains me that a human being as miserable and worthless as you takes up oxygen.
