Godspeed you black emperor! - F* A* Infinity Probably one of the longer Eps out there but certainly one of my favourites. Right from the opening monologue, this album offers the collapse of civilisation.

Probably the best collection I've heard from them. The first time I heard Isis I almost **** my pants. Much darker and more overbearing (soniclly) than Show Your Bones, IS IS Seemed to be the dark fractured personality that show your bones Tried to suppress. Quote:

I'm not sure I want to hear a band as boring as Rush murdering some of my favourite psychadelia tunes.

One of the Modest Mouse's first EPs and personally I think their best (they've released quite a few good ones, The Fruit That Ate Itself, Everywhere and His Nasty Parlour Tricks, etc. so that's saying alot.) This album has that raw punch only earlier Modest Mouse has and is worth getting a hold of purely for Edit the Sad Parts, which is my favorite Modest Mouse song. Every single one of Voxtrot's EPs was amazing fun smiths influenced twee stuff, this (Raised by Wolves) is my favorite. The Start of Something is like ahhhhhperfectpopgoodness. Rilo Kiley's debut, its actually become my favorite thing they've done. Papillion, the Frug, Glendora are all indie-pop goodness. Especially the Frug, they don't get much attention (their last album was lame) but this EP is really fun. Ex-Million Dead frontman Frank Turner's debut EP is a great collection of folk songs similar to Bob Dylan but with a more british take on things. It really is a good introduction to his solo stuff. |
