music snobs exist on every site, they annoy me so much i mean i know i act a little close-minded sometimes but i've never gone as far as saying an entire genre isn't music

well i don't know if you're referring to something specific or not, but i think it's stupid to join a music forum and not expect it to be full of music snobs. saying you don't like a band is completely in line with the intentions of the site

I do find it kind of funny that it's perfectly ok to bash the likes of Avril Lavigne , Britney Spears , Fall Out Boy or My Chemical Romance because obviously those artists are sh*t

This pretty much sums things up really.. I think if "music snobbery" didn't exist, people posting on a site like this would be pointless. There would be no discussion.

i'm just saying they're annoying and i'm mostly this was towards other musicians who are music snobs a lot of times when i make a song even if i don't tell the person about the song or anything they have to make comments like "this isn't even music" or "you should quit while you aren't ahead" and other annoying unconstructive comments i know without their existense a lot of music wouldn't exist but that doesn't mean i have to like them

Is it really snobbery to say you don't like something though?

I don't think of it as snobbery, I just think of it as honest opinion.

Agreed with UH. I'll like what I like and hate what I hate. The only thing that should really be frowned upon is when someone won't give a band or genre a chance. Even if you end up hating it at least you TRIED it. I mean, for all we know there could be millions of closeted Brenoritvrezorkre fans who don't even know yet.
