Worst Band Ever Poll Nominations

Nominate up to five bands, at the end of the week i'll compile a list and will have the next round of polls. Please note, they don't have to necessarily be worse, you could just fucking hate them. Haha, yes indeed. I won't ruin your expectations there. First five that came to mind...

James Blunt
Hinder
Nickelback
Gwen Stefani
Korn

Meanwhile... I like the Libertines. Daniel Radcliffe had something interesting to say about them:

Quote:

THE ALBUM THAT PUTS MALL-PUNK TO SHAME
The Libertines
Up the Bracket
Rough Trade, 2002
“For me, this album is a reaction to bands like blink-182 and Sum 41. The Libertines don’t even claim to be punk, they just are: They have the attitude, the intelligence, and this album is so raw it hurts. Does Pete Doherty make me want to smoke crack? No! He is an icon who just happens to take lots of drugs; he is not an icon because he takes lots of drugs. He is incredibly talented, and a little messed up. I hope he doesn’t OD.”

I think The Strokes should be somewhere on the list.I remeber a few years back it seemed that they were on EVERY magazine -being touted as "The Future of Rock".. so..like the fool I am- I bought one of their cds. I listened to it several times- just to make sure it wasn't something wrong with the stereo..nope.. crap all the way around. The shame of it all is that there are HARD WORKING bands that are stuck in their garage while THIS crap gets all the record deals and the glory..man.. the music industry isn't what it used to be.
I think we need to take Celine and Elton (I'm not talking old school-Elton..I mean the new schlock) and push them down an elevator shaft.. maybe we should add Yanni to the pile- just for kicks.

sleepy jack 10-15-2007 01:33 PM

Um...a proper list would be helpful. Thank you.

Uh, the Strokes may be overrated when proclaimed as the future of rock, but I think they're far from the worst band ever.

jackhammer 10-15-2007 02:02 PM

So where are Green Day?

The first post does specify that you don't have to go for the worst band ever in the history of music... just bands that you really, really hate. :p:

swim 10-15-2007 02:25 PM

After School Knife Fight

Stringbender 10-15-2007 03:06 PM

I think it's pretty safe to say that any band or artist that wore a polyester leisure suit- well.. odds are they should be on SOME SORT OF HATE LIST-
maybe that's just MY opinion..
(I mean ones that wore one as a SERIOUS act- I know I saw a picture of Alice Cooper in a leisure suit- but I think he did it as a gag..)
damn..I think what I just said makes me sound kinda old..

Zer0 10-16-2007 02:52 AM

Limp Bizkit

Guns and Roses

Night_Lamp 10-16-2007 06:19 AM

YEAH!!! My first post and I get to slam Dogstar. Likely the worst band ever. Just because you played in a garage band in high-school, and you have the money and celeb status to make a record doesn't mean it'll be good.

Some actors who really are good muscians: Micheal J Fox
Russel Crowe
Kevin Bacon
