I think The Strokes should be somewhere on the list.I remeber a few years back it seemed that they were on EVERY magazine -being touted as "The Future of Rock".. so..like the fool I am- I bought one of their cds. I listened to it several times- just to make sure it wasn't something wrong with the stereo..nope.. crap all the way around. The shame of it all is that there are HARD WORKING bands that are stuck in their garage while THIS crap gets all the record deals and the glory..man.. the music industry isn't what it used to be.
I think we need to take Celine and Elton (I'm not talking old school-Elton..I mean the new schlock) and push them down an elevator shaft.. maybe we should add Yanni to the pile- just for kicks. |
