Adopt A Newbie: The Music Edition (metal, rock, favorite bands, myspace)

I'm up for being adopted. I prefer rock, indie, alternative, and electro as opposed to hip-hop, rap and such.

I really want to start listening to good bands you can't hear on the radio but to name a few favorites: Interpol, The Cure, Brand New, Matt & Kim, The Faint, Death From Above 1979, Incubus (old stuff, Light Grenades was horrid...), The Faint and Modest Mouse.

I'd adopt somebody, see if I'm interesting via my Last.FM.

But I'm always open to education too, finding new music is always a pleasure.
