That just happened to be a catagory i'm fairly well-versed in. If you wanted to know about the best Romantic Comedies, I would be ****ed.

zneergz 10-01-2007 10:05 PM

Up for adoption. Into lots of genres. Rock based mainly, but everything in between. Indie to metal. A little bit of HipHop, but mostly underground. Into classic music, old soul, classic rock. HOOK IT UP!

I know a fair share, so feel free to ask questions of me.

PS, I'm a newbie, how's everybody doing?

sleepy jack 10-01-2007 10:21 PM

Welcome, what are some of your favorite bands? and if you stick around, i'll adopt you.

zneergz 10-01-2007 10:34 PM

hmmm, well, band I am listening to as of this week, include Mutemath, Interpol, As I lay dying, The Editors. Favorites currently include, The Shins, James Morrison, The Fratellis, Alexisonfire, Get Up Kids, Paulo Nutini among others.

All time favourites, The Beatles, Metallica (when I was younger but they still have some epic tracks), Tool, Live, Stevie Wonder, 1 Slipknot album.

sleepy jack 10-01-2007 10:35 PM

I dig the Beatles, The Shins, The Get Up Kids, Interpol sometimes and I like some of the Editors stuff.

Consider yourself adopted i'll start working on a list of awesome bands now.

zneergz 10-01-2007 10:36 PM

I look forward to it!

sleepy jack 10-01-2007 10:58 PM

I shall have it posted tomorrow, I have a bit more homework to do for now though.

ProggyMan 10-01-2007 11:49 PM

Well let me know what kinda stuff you enjoy right now. And if you don't listen to any, let me know anyway and I can make a primer.

Duke Of Slander 10-02-2007 02:23 PM

I'm up for being adopted. I prefer rock, indie, alternative, and electro as opposed to hip-hop, rap and such.

I really want to start listening to good bands you can't hear on the radio but to name a few favorites: Interpol, The Cure, Brand New, Matt & Kim, The Faint, Death From Above 1979, Incubus (old stuff, Light Grenades was horrid...), The Faint and Modest Mouse.

anticipation 10-02-2007 02:25 PM

Any n00bs interested in learning about emo/screamo/hxc music, i think me and starving could help you out.

just an fyi
to alert any nubs thinking about listening to that sort of music :)

Mouseketeer 10-02-2007 02:42 PM

I'd adopt somebody, see if I'm interesting via my Last.FM.

But I'm always open to education too, finding new music is always a pleasure.

Lol, Oh Comely is long and boring. Plus it isn't even on the myspace I linked. Oh and In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is a way better song too.

You already have some pretty dope tastes in music.

Have you ever listened to Panda bear or Owls? I think you'd like both. If you haven't, let me know and I'll up a couple of things for you.

I can't tell if there was sarcasm in your post or not, but this is the only one that's wrong :)

Venom coined the phrase Black Metal but had more in common with Motorhead than Bathory.

Yeah I was just messing about. I hate three out of four of those anyway. Venom are still classed as the first Black Metal band, even if the sound was'nt defined by them.

Starving Artless-Cradle Of Filth are an absolute joke. Dani Filth is a prize idiot.

The Dave 10-05-2007 09:17 AM

Well that's the point of the thread, is to discover new types of music. Did you even listen to any of the albums? I'm assuming not since there was only a 26 minute lapse between me giving you that link and then you replying.

<3_BEAUTIFUL_HELL_FAIRY_<3 10-05-2007 11:13 AM

no I didn't.......... sorry I don't really have the time in class.... otherwise I would I can't go on at home.....so........

The Dave 10-05-2007 12:17 PM

^So why do you bother being a member of a site that tries to get its members to discover new types of music if you don't have the time to?

<3_BEAUTIFUL_HELL_FAIRY_<3 10-05-2007 01:11 PM

I will in the summer and when I am at my friends house..... but right now my MoM IS being SUPER strict about my homework, chores, and taking care of my 3 dogs.....(my hermit crab is in the science room with the other hermit crabs for now) But after I get Everything all settled in for school I will probably be able to get on, on tuesdays and possibly other days too.... depending on which days my mom goes to the bar.........(For taco tuesdays, darts in the winter and possibly pool)

so when I can get on alittle more I will but untill then I guess you could say I am almost not up for adoption .....Hmmmm..... weird hu?
