It was mainly a joke with members. Not saying it was your fault.

^From what I read, everyone thought it was a good idea but I dont think anyone really executed it right. The point is to PM your newb or your mentor like crazy for advice and pointers and actually follow it through. I really dont see this thread turning out any different. I dont think anyone has the time or attention to really make it work.

I wouldn't mind hearing some good death and doom. Maybe some...really good black metal.

I never got that impression from your thread, I assumed we were to teach the noobs rules of etiquette for the forum and such.

But if you're going to raise cane over it then just tell a mod.

But yeah, if anyone is willing to get into more Indie, Folk and Post Emo then let me know, I'm willing to take on more than one noob.
