Default Ian Curtis Film - Control

Has anyone heard the Killers cover version of 'Shadowplay' for the film 'Control' yet?

No but CONTROL is supposed to be excellent. I'm only looking at it from a movie buff's POV so add in the JOY DIVISION slant, and this rates as highly anticipated for me. The killers may have done a track for the film, but the actual actors playing the band do all the Joy Division tracks themselves!

That sounds like an awesome soundtrack. I was going on the latset TOTAL FILM review-

Few bands are as influential as Joy Division;even fewer have maintained such 30-year devotion. So it's to the immense credit of the cast that the music on the film-played note-for-note by the thesp's themselves-sounds so authentically harrowing.

No you're probably right. The soundtrack I posted will play as background, but the actors probably play the live stuff by the sound of that review.
Looking forward to seeing the film.

That is probably the set up. It will probably get one week in the cinemas and then dissapear as non Richard Curtis/Costume dramas British films usually do.

A good plus point is that the director is known primarily as a photographer, and actually done a couple of shoots with Joy Division. He will give the film an honesty which it deserves.
