Jukebox Jury
Post vids of recent releases here for discussion.
The only rules for posting is that the song has to have been released in the month the post is made. Comments on the song, not the vids are welcome. All posts replies must begin with the positive "Spin It" or the negative "Bin It". All genres included. I'll start the ball rolling with this song released earlier this month. Manchester band Puressence - 'Drop Down To Earth'. Not the best quality vid, but it's the song that counts. I like this tune, so it's a "Spin It" from me. If people don't like it, feel free to say so. After all it's what this thread is about. |
"Bin It".
The song is tolerable, but hardly original. A bin it from me I think. |
"Spin It"
I like it.....it kinda reminds me of a Depeche mode song |
Feel free to add a new release.
You don't even have to like it, just put it up for a 'spin or bin', so long as it's been released in the past month. |
Ian Brown -'Illegal Attacks'
Ian Brown (feat. Sinead O Connor) dipping his toe into politics with this anti war effort...spin it or bin it? |
I was going to post this one myself. I'm not too au fait with what is released within the past month.
"Bin it" I like the music, but I find the lyrics far too obvious and heavy handed. I like Ian Brown though. |
Bin it for sure
Literal references instead of imagery in protest songs rarely work. It usually sounds as this does like a very childish and insulting effort. |
"Bin It".
I love the strings in the music but lyrics are too tongue in cheek. I prefer the lead singer from system of a down's new anti-war protest song. Mostly for the video lol. I have yet to pay attention to the lyrics. |
^Thank you for reminding me to go buy that song...

I love the Stone Roses, but that one left me cold. Liked his earlier solo work better
