It simpily has to be Nick Drake. The man was a genius. This is my favourite albums my Drake. It just has such a wonderful sound and feeling to it.
I absolutely love Time Has Told Me. I think the English man should win...urm...not because I'm English or anything! Well I am Mars Volta are deserving of a mention also. An interesting selection of debuts though. The forum where I mainly post would end up with a list not to disimillar from this: The Smiths, Joy Division, Interpol, Arcade Fire and Jeff Buckley.
