Femi Kuti Genre-Afro beat. 1.Do Your Best (Faze Action Remix) 2.Victim Of Life 3.Look Around 4.Eregele 5.Eko Lagos 6.Scatta Head 7.What Will Tomorrow Bring? The son of legendary African Musician Fela Kuti (see my thread in INTERNATIONAL MUSIC), his son follows on in the same tradition as his father fusing African beats, funk, soul, and in this case; dance beats. His music is great for lazy nights in the sun, or just as an appetiser to the delights of African music. hxxp://www.badongo.com/file/4418808 |

C'mon people! If you want to get into new music, here's a small taster of what's out there!
|
Also im sure the majority of you people on this forum are aware of the bands that Myself and Jackhammer listen to..and if there is a band in particular that you would like a compilation of..Im sure either of us would be more than happy to fill the request.
|
I'm downloading the Portugal comp now, reggae and such has never been my cup of tea but I'll check at one or two of them.
|
I think that you'll like the Portugal a lot Dave.

I'm listening to Church Mouth and it's pretty groovy, not at all what I was expecting. Now listening to Telling Tellers Tell Me and it sounds like a groove version of The White Stripes. I'm liking it, I'll listen to more tomorrow, but I have some work to do now.

LAMB
http://www.gorecki.co.uk/images/misc/ellis1.jpg Genre: Trip Hop, Electronica, Ambient, Jazz Breaks. Location:U.K Lamb a two piece compromising of Andy Barlow (Keys, Programming) and Louise Rhodes (vocals) seemed to be dragged into the Trip Hop explosion of the mid 90's in Britain, but they were always so much more than that. Louise's ethereal vocals backed up by Andy's off kilter rythmns which were influenced more by classical strings and jazz, were more than the typical dance/dub sounds around at the time. Their music ranges from the stunningly beautiful (Gabriel) to the abstract (Lusty). This is the full tracklisting as some tracks have no tags due to the fact that they have been on my PC since whenever. 1.TRANS-FATTY ACID (Kruder and Dorfmeister Remix) 2.ONE 3.LUSTY 4.WHAT SOUND 5.HEAVEN 6.GORECKI 7.GOD BLESS 8.BONFIRE 9.GABRIEL hxxp://www.badongo.com/file/4530735 |
