looking at that it makes an odd combination... but those are the people who i admire most for each of those traits

Thurston Moore

the guy is the personification of cool. As well as his radical music with Sonic Youth -- there's his millions of side-projects, his record label, the adulation he receives in all kinds of underground scenes (look at the bands he enticed to ATP), his knowledge of everything from obscure 80s hardcore punk to free-jazz to improv, his 500 guitars, his 5 million vinyls, his eternally youthful looks, his excellent voice, the cool and calm vibe he gives off in his interviews, his many non-musical artistic pursuits. Basically, Thurston Moore has lived the kind of life and left the kind of legacy that inspires me more than anyone else. Seeing Sonic Youth live recently has turned me into even more of a raging fanboy, but there you go.
