I know what you mean.
I actually prefer Kirsty McCall's version much better.
Favourite Bragg tune 'Levi Stubbs Tears'.

The problem with Bragg is, he's good to listen to in small doses.
In that a couple of album plays back to back, can grate a little.

Lyrically brilliant like Turner and has a wonderful knack of capturing the times and the working man's world.
