Do you prefer downloading over buying? Why
Curious as to why some prefer to buy and some prefer to download. Thoughts?
|
It's free.
|
There's absolutely no reason to buy.
|
exactly!
i find it funny how at fye new cds are about 10 bucks whereas a couple years ago they were like, 15 trying to persuade the youngens to do it the legal ways silly record people |
^ depends on what kind of music your buying. mainstream is still 15-20 bucks, its the small labels that release cheaper stuff.
i prefer downloading, not because i don't want to support the artist but i cant afford to drop $5-10k a year on music cds. i prefer to blow my money going to see them at their live shows. |
I've never seen a CD in fye (with the exception of the 9.99 bins) under 15 dollars, I havn't been in there two months but still and the average price two months ago was between 16.99 and 19.99.

So you will never buy another CD again? What if your favorite bands stop making music.
|
Downloading is far superior for the simple fact of Instant Gratification.
However, I still buy CD's if the album is great. I have a crate with around 200 unopened CD's I am just keeping for my own personal library. |
I like buying CDs more..but do it far far less than downloading. Why? I aint made of money. Most CDs I do buy dont get listened to. I listen to all my music on my computer or on/through my iPod.
|
I check out too many bands to buy them all. I usually download it and if I like it I'll buy it. Unless it's Sonic Youth or someone all famous.
