I didn't, you're just switching stances again. Bands don't make more money off of touring than record sales unless they're very very popular.

That is true, bands get about 20% of the money they make from touring. So each band member actually see's very little. The reason bands usually tour s to become more widely known.

Yeah? He didn't even specify which bands he supported and you started going after him for buying RHCP records. I buy Elliott Smith albums wanna have a go at me? Why don't instead of picking on a new member you go after someone else?

I didn't go after him for buying records, I said I thought it was stupid to support a famous band like RHCP, and I already knew what his favorite bands were. I "went after him" because he said that he wanted to support a band lilke RHCP, not because he's new.
