I refused to download music, when you download a song it’s like saying to an artist you aren’t worth the effort or cost of a cd. Any I only listen to music that is worth the effort and cost of buying a cd.

Not having the money is pretty much the lamest excise ever….if you don’t have the money you save up till you get the money it will make the cd even more ‘special’. Sometimes I eat nothing but rice and salsa for a week to save up so I can the cd I want.

I prefer having the cds for car rides and using them on a cd player... much easier to rewind to try to pick out notes when playing guitar :P

I do download a few songs every now and then... but some people i respect too damn much... like i wouldnt want to steal from hendrix or slash... so ill usually only download if someone suggests a band to me and i wanna hear the stuff without spending all my monies
oh.. ill also steal if the whole cd sucks except one song.....

It's been said that the cd is fading away. However, I don't see the price of the cd dropping. Amazon, CD Universe, Barnes and Noble, fye I sill see the price of a newly released cd priced between $12.00-$18.00. As long as the cd prices stay the same and the consumer keeps purchasing them we won't see the decline of cd sales anytime soon. I don't think the decline of cd sales are as bad as the general public thinks. And as far as the mp3 format, I don't see the trend ending anytime soon. The mp3 may overshadow the cd but the real music enthusiast will still purchase cds.
