This ends now

If you have nothing to say about the topic don't say anything at all & this is a final warning.

I always wonder about my friends who use the 'too poor to buy any CDs' excuse but think nothing of spending £40 on alcohol on a night out. I guess we know where their priorities lie...

Yes, but with alcohol sometimes you can get the music all for free in your head.

I do a liitle of each, but prefer to download. It's nice to have access to both depending on where you'll be to listen to the music.

Where/what do you all use to download music? Oh, and just fyi I know a guy who was wire tapped unknowingly, and was fined for every bit of illegal music he owned (somewhere in the range of $1000-2000). But I guess that only apllies to us Americans. Damn Bush.

It boggles my mind that people will rush to pay $60+ for a mindless killing video game, but feel that music should be free.

I PAID for both 'Niggy Tardust', and 'In Rainbows'. Of my 600 or so discs, 90% are orginals- bought new or used. I like the album art and the booklets. Some of my stuff is copied, but none of it is filesharing.
Those of you who complain about the space a physical collection takes up, move your discs into binders. All my discs take up two small shelves with the booklets.

Another point is the universally poor sound quality of free downloads. I recently bought the hard copy of 'In Rainbows' and the sound quality is very much better than the download.

Some of us still care about sound quality- that's why the lp will never totally die.
