I'll fix it then.
Ohhhhh......he was good!

Its all down to perspective and taste, if you want to see a hard rock drummer waving his chops around, he was probably the best along with Keith Moon. If you want more technical then Neil Peart is the best example of that.

I listened to some of his live songs in the past 2 hours and I prefer that to his studio work. If Hendrix sounded like this on his albums I probably would be able to warm up to him.

I admit Hendrix is not for everybody as he played at the heavier end of the spectrum for that era. One of my best friends doesn`t like anything by Hendrix and just sees his music as a bunch of noise.........I guess a lot of people could easily think that, if they`re favourite artists of that era were the Beatles, Beach Boys, Byrds, Dylan and the Doors etc.

The reason people love Hendrix so much is because of the passion and feeling he puts into his riffs. I know he's a bit heavy at times, and he certainly isn't everyone's taste, but he's definately not overrated.

Ah yes, one of my favorites. Hendrix did a lot of improvisation when it came to live performances. You can tell here that he was in an intimate mood. His playing really depended on his mood. Sometimes he would come out and tear up the guitar like he was just trying to destroy it, and sometimes he literally did. Other times he would be in an intimate mood and would make love to it like he is in this video.

I was surprised to see them as well, as I doubt many people around today would actually know who they were.
