I'm talking more about people that are really caught up in a select few genres, or who are just more passive fans of music in general. They will have heard the more popular songs and just dismiss the band without really giving them a shot. I don't know if Dayvan is one of these people but it would go along with almost everyone else I've tried to convince.

It sounds like Dayvan has heard quite a bit of Radiohead and just doesn't like them. Can we move on?

This situation really reminds me of this.

But anyhow, moving on and whatnot.

More underrated: Joan La Barbara.

The absolute worst band for this is the Beatles. If you don't like them you constantly encounter people saying things like "well how much of their music have you heard?" which is hilarious. They're the fucking Beatles, everyone's heard of enough of their music to have an informed opinion.

Underrated Canadian Bands

1) The Duhks
2) The Sadies
3) Blue Rodeo
4) The Band
5) The Wailin' Jennys

There's more but that's just off the top of my head.

They probably top my list. You really gotta see them live. I've been to more Blue Rodeo concerts than any other band.

Never been all that in Blue Rodeo myself, but "Five Days in May" has serious nostalgic value seeing as I used to listen to it practically everyday in the car from ages 4 to 8.
