Underrated: Bill Laswell. The man's contributions to music are monumental. I seriously would go into saying he may be one of the most important figures in music of all time but is very much hidden beneath the surface.

God, yes! I was shocked to find out how under-appreciated his releases are, even his work with Material gets no respect. He's a brilliant musician and a true original.

Have to echo these words.

Also Under-Rated:

Rob Tyner - A very soulful singer for The MC5. All he had to do was scream, and you knew what side you were on with the music. You did not need JC Crawford's preaching or Sinclair's Manifesto, all you needed was to hear the immortal words screamed by the only one who can with full meaning. "Let me be who I am, and let me Kick Out the Jams!" - often covered, but without having the full effect of how Rob Tyner sang them.

Overrated; Everything that came after the first coldplay album .
I wonder were the talent they had at that point went.
The rest is overrated.

Massively overrated: Adele.

He's one of my favorite male singers. He's just bloody amazing and unique.

Overrated: U2, Bruce Springsteen, Prince
Underrated: Elvis Costello, 311, Blues Traveler
how can you say prince is overrated ?...even if you dont like his music...his musical talent and brilliance on every instrument make him underrated if anything....robert plant...eric clapton and many many others in the music world think prince is a genius...and these guys really should know what they are talking about...u2...well they are a good band but they have went on a bit too long i feel....springsteen....dont think he is really overrated that much...he is an important figure in americian music and has released some great albums....so maybe u2 are a bit overrated now but not prince and brucie...
