For some strange reason your mini biography doesn`t mention the James Gang. He was the dominant force in the James Gang before he went solo. Whereas his work with the Eagles he played second fiddle to Glenn Frey and Don Henley.

I see your point, I was trying to show how his material in 2007 and to the present, are basically the same style of music Joe Walsh recorded as a solo artist since the early 70s., besides Rocky Mountain Way and a few other singles, I dont know much about the James Gang.
I remember some singles on James Gang's albums, it's just been a long time since I've heard any of it, I dont have it downloaded.

The three best James Gang albums are also the Joe Walsh ones, which are the "Yer Album" "Thirds" and the pick of the bunch "The James Gang Rides Again" Whats interesting about these albums, is that for a hard rock biker style band, they had an extremely experimental side that you wouldn`t really associate with this type of band. They were also miles better than that other terrible Ohio hard rock biker band The Godz!!! (Ok maybe The Godz weren`t that bad)

I can't vouch for B&S because I don't listen to them, but how do The Shins' songs go nowhere? They're well crafted pop songs. I know it's not your thing and I respect that, I just don't see how their music "goes nowhere".

Even though I greatly enjoy some material from these artists, I agree. But while it's true none of them invented electronic music, I think they took it in a new direction and were all very highly influencial in the subgenre we call IDM. Of the 3, I'd say Boards of Canada get more credit than they deserve.

people have differing opinions. i doubt pitchfork had a staff meeting one day and decided to hate on post rock...

GY!BE get a well-deserved amount of respect. Mogwai too. EitS is overhyped if you ask me. Sigur Ros' reputation/'amount of respect obtained' is fine. TWDY is mildly underrated, but that's because most people listen to their EP first.

P-R isn't 'underrated' in general, as its forefront bands are getting lots of praise and press. Some of the lesser-known I suppose, but that's the case with every genre.
