She's not that great at all and is the odd person out on that list. Janet and Chrisette Michelle have won Grammys so I don't even see how you can say they are underrated.

What makes you say that? Fantasia sangggs unlike many singers who just sing. She moves people with her voice and has a natural soulfulness to her voice something that is desperately missing from the mainstream female singers. Quote:
She was blacklisted and censored most of the last 10 years on American radios and music stations like MTV and VH1. Also, her influence is very underrated. Alot of people cite Madonna as a the primary influence on todays pop female entertainers when Janet has had just as much of an influence Her discography is underrated as well. Chrisette Michelle just has one grammy and besides she is one of the best female vocalist of her generation. She is a great live singer and she is way better singer than most of the mainstream singers that are glorified. |

Don't understand how you can possibly lump Smashing Pumpkins in with Nirvana and The Smiths. SP have four incredible albums and they don't receive nearly as much credit as Nirvana's good three. I rarely hear SP's work mentioned unless alongside someone trashing Billy Corgan's personality. The Smiths are one of my favourite bands but yet again, they are one of the most popular artists of the eighties and Morissey is worshiped like a god despite being even more of a knob than Corgan.
