I'm not a fan of ZZ Top but I think they got quite enough attention. Fandango! was a pretty influential album and Eliminator was their most commercially successful album. So I don't really see how they're underrated.

Overrated:
Oasis, The Beach Boys, NWA. (Although I must admit, each of these artists do have a few good songs and I certainly don't dislike Oasis.) Underrated: Blur, Vampire Weekend, Wu-Tang Clan, The Libertines, The Strokes (Just think of all the carbon copies The Libertines spurred on, not to mention The Strokes... and Damon Albarn is a genius.) |

Butthole Surfers are hugely underrated although they're a bit too weird for a more general fanbase. The Flaming Lips get loads of praise and attention on this side of the pond, perhaps not as much as ten years ago but they still have their fanboys. I never got the deal with Blind Melon, I've listened to all their albums and they sound very average.
