I dont see how you could not find anything wrong with him doing a song with a mediocre rapper which I feel is making a point more than doing a photo shoot with a musician.
The difference is Stevie Wonder collects the money to do a job.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards & Jimmy Page do an interview with Jack White because they have a similar blues background & share a lot of the same influences and probably got paid very little if anything to do it.

But that still speaks volumes that Stevie Wonder was willing to do a song with Drake who is mediocre. You cant just simply write that off and he WANTED to do the song with him. Drake didnt ask him. Stevie Wonder is very sweet and tries to motivate the current artists but I still believe while that is a nice gesture it doesnt validate the artist credibility. Ive heard alot of legendary artists compliment mediocre artists not just Stevie and it doesnt mean anything.

Generally speaking this is a good thing for musicians concerned more with quality than commercial appeal. Jack White does not strike me as someone who gives half a crap about what the commercial public thinks of him. Maybe you should stop worrying so much about what 'the teens' you know think or notice.

I do NOT CARE... lol Most of the artists I like are not even popular although I do have alot I like that are popular but I just listed that he was underrated to me and then people challenged me for MY opinion.

I dont care what other people think, I like what I like.... but since I insisted that he was underrated and people disagreed it turned into a debate

Ok then assuming I go with what you say and Stevie Wonder did do that because he rates this guy.

Both Jack White & Drake have the respect of their peers.
Both Jack White & Drake have appeared on numerous magazine covers
Both Jack White & Drake have multi platinum albums
Both Jack White & Drake have no grammeys
Both Jack White & Drake have critical acclaim
I know I've heard more White Stripes stuff on the radio and no Drake stuff.

So using all those critera please explain to me why you think one is mediocre & one is underrated other than just personal bias.

Based on your criteria you wouldnt be able to tell if an artist is mediocre or not. But since all that doesnt mean anything you have to go off of personal bias.

Drake is much much more popular than Jack White... Drake is constantly on the radio, wins alot of awards and is considered critically acclaimed more so than Jack White although he doesnt have an ounce of his talent and music catalogue.

Never heard a Drake song in my life and I had a radio next to me at work for the last 10 years. Heard lots of White Stripes songs though.

I've just looked at the scores given to the main reviews of that of both artists from both online & print media & they're roughly the same.
