OK glad that's sorted.

LOL those are magazine writers that said that..... and they typically are just as full of politics as award shows so its really naive to simply based what magazine writers have said and claim it as the entire industry thinking that way. I am just trying to look at the full spectrum.... Jack White isnt getting the same recognition as Justin Timberlake for example who is regarded as a serious musician when he isnt... I am looking at and comparing what the industry calls the best today which is really mediocrity.
I am not calling Jack White one of the greatest but he is alot better than alot of the mainstream artists we have out now.

Yeah you're right. People like Mick Jagger, Keith Richards & Jimmy Page come out for photo sessions with just any two bit guitarist in any band.

And I was actually going from your own posts, not magazine writers.
You only seem to think awards are a good thing while it suits your argument, until they don't in which case they're meaningless.

at least show some consistency in your argument.

Yea .........and the great Stevie Wonder made a song with Drake last year. Drake must be a REALLY REALLY talented influential rapper for him to want to do a song with him.

Why wouldn't Stevie Wonder work with him.
He's a multi platinum artist.

I am consistent but the music industry has changed and how they give out awards today isnt how it use to be.... even before Jill got her grammys but in her defense she received those grammys back in the late 90s when she first debut which is quite different today.

And we are talking about the guy who performed I Just Called To Say I Love You & Ebony & Ivory here.

I think it's a long long time since Stevie put out anything worth listening to.
