Probably because you've been going on about the importance of Grammys for God knows how long.

Just a guess.

Oh stop being silly. I have not be ranting about how "important the Grammys are"

I listed artists who I thought were underrated as well as overrated since this is what this thread is about and I was challenged because of the artists I thought was underrated and I simply explained and used the grammys as an EXAMPLE of how the industry acknowledges MAINSTREAM artists.

I insisted that none of those artists that I listed have 0 or little grammys among other awards. The Grammys are irrelevant and non important when it comes to real music, artists and musicians.

Please dont twist my words or insist something that I never implied.

You also insisted she was a POP star which she isnt... What mainstream stations have you heard Jill Scott play on? What clubs have you heard Jill Scotts music at? Whens the last time Jill has performed on MTV? Im just asking since you insisted she was MASSIVELY popular.
I don't think I've referred to her as a "pop star" at all in this conversation to be honest. All I've said is she's very popular, and she is. It's pretty simple really, you can't sell millions of albums without being popular.

What?
There are different levels of popularity that can be argued but you insisted that she was massively popular and its pretty common knowledge that, massively popular and extremely popular artists are mainstream. I never denied that she has some level of notoriety but you greatly exaggerated her popularity.

Regardless of her level of popularity she is underrated as an artist by the MUSIC industry.

And I asked you earlier if you knew her album sales since you have been arguing that she was a muti platinum saling artist and I think its elementary to insist something and not have evidence to back it up because it comes across like your making assumptions. I know I can easily look it up for myself but your the one making the arguement and want to be perceived as credible, you should be listing facts since your making strong claims.

I would've thought that both Urban and Janszoon with more than 30,000 posts between them, would've thrown in the towel by now. As trying to debate with a dog chasing its own tail, is a rather pointless exercise.

Just because a poster has more posts than another doesnt make their opinion more superior which is a very childish remark... this is a music forum and you discuss music which were doing

She sells millions of albums. She's won three Grammies. She's had a number one album. She is mainstream. Sorry that makes you so sad.

How do you measure that out of curiosity?

Jill Scott being multi-platinum isn't an argument, it's a fact. If you don't believe me and are too lazy to look it up, that's really not my problem. The internet is at your fingertips my friend, try it out.

How do you think we both ended up with so many posts?
