So your contention here is that all the praise directed at the White Stripes over the years was directed at... Meg?

All his 'solo' stuff is production credits, collaborations & bands writing with other people.

Where's this solo stuff you keep on about?

His played for other people, written for other people, produced with other people and he has even released his OWN songs by his self ( He is well known as a solo artist OUTSIDE of his band).... I am not being vague at all.... all of that consist of solo projects since he did all of those things without his band.

What do you have trouble comprehending?

Your definition of a solo career obviously

And even then I've seen him get plaudits for most of these collaborations & production jobs, well apart from the Raconteurs but they were shit anyway.

By who? He was the songwriter and frontman for one of the most successful and highly acclaimed rocks bands of the 00s. Who do you think all that acclaim was directed at?

I never implied he had a big solo career. Im really just focusing on his talents as a solo artist apart from his band that goes unappreciated in the mass mainstream industry. He isnt a mainstream artist and he is underrated. Thats all I was insisting.

All you were insisting is that an extremely popular, well-known musician who has sold millions of albums isn't mainstream, and all the various awards he's won and critical praise he's received mean that he's underrated. Got it.

Are you unaware of how many people were in the White Stripes and what their roles were?

When is the last time you heard a JACK WHITE song on the radio? The White Stripes is not even a popular group anymore and you keep trying to put his accomplishments in mixture with what he accomplished with his group which really is not good reasoning. Him as a solo artist has nothing to do with what he did when he was with his group.

He is not popular or criticially acclaimed as a SOLO artist.....

It doesnt matter..... to the MASS MEDIA they were looked on as a group and it didnt and doesnt matter that they write their own music, play instruments etc.... they had one major popular song at the time of their popularity and thats all that mattered..... Do I agree with that? No but thats how the pop industry is...
