You shouldn't have made it so easy for him I wanted him to go to bed tonight and then spend the rest of the night tossing and turning, trying to work that comment out.

She rages against The Beatles and their fans all over MB which is apparent by her sig. She is definitely developing a pattern which is apparent how she talks about certain music acts and their fans - generally I find her posts amusing.
Whether it was or wasn't, it just sounded like an insult. I'm a pretty serious music listener but with your statement, it sounded like if I don't like Radiohead, i'm not listening to music seriously.

I think its important to hit your niche audience and Radiohead certainly has captured the experimental crowd in a big way. I may not be a fan of them, but I can see and hear important elements in their music that make them entertaining to people. Same with Janet Jackson, she hit it out of the park with rythym nation. She knew she could market her stuff through her videos and did so to platinum status.

I often find myself defending U2 to people and I finally came to the realization that trying to defend U2 is an all day all night job, much like Radiohead. When your popular everyone was the first person to hate them and find them passe. I think I might of been the first person to despise Radiohead though, i bought Pablo Honey the day it came out and it is still in mint condition if anybody wants it let me know.

How would he have room to toss and turn, with all those lovely ladies crammed into his bed, all vying for his attention?

I guess it won't be original to call Sonic Youth underrated... but I think they hugely are.

Ki, you shouldn't feel that way.

I was only working within the parameters he set in his rhetorical statement. I wasn't making it out of the blue, I only took something he said meant to be a jab at Radiohead fans and turned it around to soften the blow in the gut of Radiohead fan. It wasn't meant to be an exclusive statement to insult all non-fans of Radiohead or meant to be extended to serious music listeners who are non-fans of Radiohead. I see it as a defense of Radiohead fans and not as an insult to non-fans of Radiohead. It all start out tongue in cheek anyway and I don't see the point it getting out of hand.
