I'd also say their(FNM) influence reaches maybe a little further than just nu-metal. Maybe not quite inventing other genres outside of nu-metal, though I wouldn't be surprised. I don't think they are highly underrated, I know there are tons of fans that respect them and know what they've done for music, but I just don't think they are as celebrated and credited as much as I think they should be. Mr. Bungle was pretty cool, but I never quite got into it as much. Much, much more experimental, that's for sure. I liked Peeping Tom quite a bit. There are even talks of a new Peeping Tom album.
