I made a new account 6 days ago, and spent hours adding all albums I have to my RYM Library, at least the ones that are on RYM.

According to last.fm I have listened to 12,321 albums. I know these results are skewed because of tagging, and individual tracks counting as one album, so I'd say I am somewhere around the 10,000 mark in reality. Problem is, I've only rated around 3,700 albums on RYM.

This annoys me a great deal.

Every so often I scroll through this, and add a few more albums, but it's an absolute pain in the ass. I wish I had started RYM at the same time as last.fm.

Also, I am thinking of making a list of "Musicbanter members on RYM" so hit me up with your links (even if I have added you or it's in your sig) so I can add you if you want.

It's so difficult to to catalog. Tough thinking of all the albums you've heard off the top of your head.

That's why last.fm and RYM go hand in hand for me.

I'd be lying to myself if I said I remember all 10,000 albums I have heard.

I've cataloged all albums I have that are on RYM, and rated everything I listened to...
It took a very long time, but I'm glad I did it because if I would've waited with RYM even longer than eventually I'd have Goofle's situation where it's just too much. My collection is currently 2,700, a few are missing since they're not on RYM. My ratings are 1,762. A few are albums I didn't fully listen to but thought were total **** though. Some are EP's, but most of them are albums.

I think LastFM and RYM do really work together really well. One is about what artists I listen to and how much I listen to them, and the other is more about what albums I have in my library and what I think of them.
