I'd say TVU & Nico, Hendrixs' Experienced and Ramones self-titled are the three most important among those.

only because arctic monkeys and arcade fire are so relatively new that you cant make a 'safe' bet by including them. i also get the feeling you might not include daft punk because they are a style of music which i have never seen you comment on... leading me to believe you don't respect it. your such a sucker for the old school

Your assessment is 90% correct. I don't not like or respect daft punk, It's just not at the top of my familiarity list. Otherwise spot on, you nailed me.

By the by, I imagine you recommend daft punk & arcade fire?

I'm hoping some of the folks here can point me towards some quality new music that's under my radar.

have you checked out ratatat? they are a band that i think is relatively unknown for how amazing they are, i have a thread about this in the indie/alt section.... and yes i STRONGLY recommend both daft punk and arcade fire. i would say funeral is one of if not my favorite cds to be released in the last 5 years.

Alright Oasis and Queens of the Stone Age are both going on to the next round because of an album shortage, they had tied on previous polls. I'm going to post the first one later tonight.
