Default Bands Tournament: March Madness in August

I have set up a 64 Artist Bracket using the top 50 list as a seeding template. Anyone who has ever seen the March Madness Bracket will know how it works.

Basic Guidelines:
4 sets of 16 Artists seeded 1 through 16
Each set or Bracket is named for one of the four great Classical Composers (Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and Wagner)
Highest seed plays lowest seed second highest second lowest etc.

Here is a link to the full Bracket. Ignore the fact that it is filled out, it's only an example. Only the first round match-ups are official. I will update the Bracket after each round.

Greatest Artist of Modern Music History - DailyBracket.com

To decide who advances from each round I will go with the first 11 votes on each match-up.

Results of (6 vs 11) match-ups

#1 Beethoven Bracket CCR vs. The Clash (Clash wins 6-1)
#2 Bach Bracket Velvet Underground vs. Simon and Garfunkel (Lou Reed and the gang prevail 6-1)
#3 Mozart Bracket The Allman Brothers vs. The Ramones (The Ramones Blitz the Allmans 6-2)
#4 Wagner Bracket Michael Jackson vs. Rakim (Rakim in comeback fashion 6-5)

Results of (5 vs 12) match-ups

Bach Bracket: Bob Marley vs. Tupac Shakur Easy Skankin' for Bob Marley 6-0 over Pac

Currently being voted on... (5 vs 12)

Beethoven Bracket: Nirvana vs. Rage Against The Machine
Mozart Bracket: The Grateful Dead vs. The Eagles
Wagner Bracket: David Bowie vs. Yes

(8 vs 9)
Wagner Bracket Ray Charles vs. Aretha Franklin
Mozart Bracket: Green Day vs. The Red Hot Chili Peppers
Bach Bracket Black Sabbath vs. The Police
Beethoven Bracket: CSNY vs. Elton John

Vote one time each for each match-up

Thanks and Enjoy

What a waste! What a waste!
